From: (?) To: "W.G. Bakewell" Letter to "My Dear Sister, Brother & Harriet", dated Oct 3, 1869 Talks how concerned they were about not hearing from them. She is alone because everyone is away. Wants to know if they will be down to purchase groceries this fall. Talks about sewing machine and maybe buying a used one. The weather is really good and the people are flocking back to the town. The house is at six and sevens for 2 weeks expecting work people. Her boarder is going to stay for another year. Make sure they put the P.O. Box # on her letters or she has to pay 2 cents and there is a delay in getting her mail. |
