Photograph of Florence Audubon (standing) and Maria Audubon (sitting) in the library at their home in Salem, NY. On The wall above the fireplace is a painting of John James Audubon, painted by his son John in 1841. The painting was given to the American Museum of Natural History in 1925. The two pictures on the bookcase, Puple Finch Plate 4 at the right, and Swamp Sparrow Plate 64 at the left were also given to the museum. The photograph measures10 inches wide X 8 inches. In the sleeve with the original Photograph, is an 8X10 copy. |
